Providing a sense of refined ambience, rooms at Elephant are fitted with luxurious fabrics, wooden floors. They combine classic furnishings with modern flat-screen TVs, equipped with satellite channels.

A varied breakfast buffet is served daily. Guests can dine at one of the on-site restaurants, offering dishes from South Tyrol, mixing Italian influences: the Elephant, open daily for lunch and dinner, and Michelin-starred Apostelstube, where a gourmet menu of up to 7 dishes can be savoured.

Hotel Elephant hotel consists of a main building and Villa Marzari, both set within the extensive grounds. Ideal for trekking in summer and skiing in winter, it is located in central Bressanone, featuring the Pharmacy Museum and a baroque Cathedral.

Charming hotel with excellent staff

Everything about Hotel Elephant was lovely, from the story to the facilities to the restaurant to the staff. While I didn't stay long enough to explore the town it was located close enough to walk from the train station, but far enough to feel like it wasn't too busy. The staff was quite helpful, arranging dinner for that night, a taxi for the morning, and even a free gondola ticket! The historic hotel was charming with oodles of ambiance.

I will stay there next time I pass through.

The room, the breakfast, the garden, the pools, the staff, the location and the elephants.

I probably won’t eat in the hotel restaurant next time I stay - it was interesting and elegant, but it’s out of my league.

Would return in a nanosecond.

Excellent selections at bfast both hot and cold. Had the tasting menu dinner at the newly opened Michelin apostlestabln restaurant. The FOOD!!! fabulous and so creative, the service an equal to the great food, the wine pairings were perfect as well. And the bartender was a huge delight!!! Shout out, big thumbs up to everyone who crafted an absolutely delightful dining experience set in this historic hotel.

What an amazing historical hotel in the city center. It was been recently renovated and it is beautiful. The history behind the hotel and its name made it special. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations. The breakfast buffet is very extensive and delicious and varied slightly everyday. The bar is beautiful and we enjoyed having a cocktail before going out to dinner. But the highlight was the tasting dinner in the Apostle Room with the wine pairing. It is indeed the best meal we have ever had. It is worthy of its Michelin star. We would definitely return and highly recommended this hotel.

Great hotel with very helpful staff.

The Elephant is located in a beautiful old building. The staff are lovely and the breakfast was great. The hotel is well situated, close to the centre of the town, but on a quiet street and with expansive views of the nearby mountains.

In keeping with the grandeur of the old building, the bathroom is a bit old-style with a shower that is an add-on to the bath. (I never take a bath and would much prefer a proper shower.)

The front desk person (female) was wonderful. So helpful and spent lots of time answering our questios. This was Friday afternoon and early Saturday morning, Aug 23 and 24.

Great hotel, I’d say even better in winter

- the staff are all wonderful, despite of how busy they may be they always make time to greet you and help you with a smile. The true asset of this property - location, right by the town center - the room size, it was huge - the garden and grounds, truly beautiful - food at the restaurant (regular restaurant, not the Michelin star one). Had dinner one night and it was delicious

- I was debating between a 9 and an 8 in terms of rating but the lack of aircon or a proper cooling machine led me to the 8. It’s very hot in Italy in summer and the little desk fan is nowhere near enough to help with it. If sleeping with the window open, you can hear all the street noises as the hotel is very central and sleep will get impacted - water power in the shower is very weak (sadly that can’t be fixed) - big and old fashioned room keys

great hotel with its own flair

very nice and old building with its own flair, room nice and sound proof (when windows closed ;)), there was space to unpack the luggage, very friendly staff in the breakfast room and nice breakfast buffet.

only some minor details: the desk chair was a bit too low to be able to work at the desk and the only meat available at breakfast was pork - no turkey, chicken or beef...

Great value for money at a historic property

I stayed at Hotel Elephant over the weekend as a solo traveller. It was the best value for money. The property is historic and well maintained. Hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything. Breakfast was delicious. Dinners at their Michelin star restaurant were amazing! Hotel staff also gave me a pass to town’s public transport and activities, which was super helpful. Cannot say enough great things about my stay!

Very good, but expensive hotel in Brixen

The Elephant is a hotel in a very old, but well renovated building in Brixen. The interior is very interesting and shows very old furniture and paintings. There is large garden for guest to walk and rest opposite of the hotel. The rooms are very elegant and well equipped. There are several shower items for guests. The breakfast buffet is excellent and leaves nothing to be desired.

Very expensive. However you know what your paying for: Great area close to the Dolomites, Very nice city, Good hotel ...

In an excellent location - Easy to grip to train station and bus station both about 10 minutes walk away. And centre of town right on your doorstep. Very friendly and helpful staff and owners. Delicious food served on a lovely terrace in good weather but also have a very attractive dining room. Lovely garden and swimming pool. Lots to see and around the area.
